Facebook Live is a video streaming and broadcasting service launched by Facebook in August 2015. With Facebook Live users can stream live video that will appear in Facebook users news feed and users can comment and interact with the streams through the Facebook platform. All broadcasts made by users are automatically saved on the streamers page and can be accessed by anyone for later reference.

Twitch is a video live streaming service design for gamers. On Twitch, streamers can share their gaming sessions via video streaming and gain subscribers and receive donations from their audience. Twitch is primarily focused on video game live streaming and eSports, but also provides sections for general streaming and real-life events. Since 2014, Twitch is now owned and operated by Amazon.

YouTube is the worlds most popular video-sharing platform. The service is developed and provided by Google. On YouTube people can view or share videos with others, in a social setting. YouTube content creators can earn money from advertisement provided by Google Ads. The platform was created and released in February 2005 by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim and sold to Google a year later for US$1.65 billion.
