Studio One Features

64-bit floating-point WAV recording and export

Studio One® 5 provides the high-resolution audio production and mastering. With Version 5, Studio One now supports recording in 64-bit floating-point WAV format, the recommended recording format for audio interfaces with 32-bit resolution. With this format option, the maximum recording and processing precision now reaches 64-bit/384 kHz, making Studio One…

Audio Clip Versions

New in Studio One 5.2, you can now create new versions of audio clips to add more creative freedom to clip-based editing. Use multiple versions of a clip that references the same audio file to try alternative edits with Melodyne, Bend Markers, or Gain Envelopes to dial in just the…

Autosave

Studio One’s configurable Auto-save can be set to save your work as frequently as you would like—but it’s smart enough to not run a save during tracking or playback. And because it always uses cached plug-in data, it’s super-quick and unobtrusive.

Backup and Archive

New in version 5.3, you can export Studio One Documents—Songs, Shows, and Projects—with all of their referenced media files to a Zip file for easy backup and sharing. In addition, all unused files in your Document are exempted from the exported Zip to keep it as small as possible.

Chord Track

Studio One® 5’s Chord Track is a songwriter’s dream come true. Create, audition, and change chord progressions; try out chord substitutions; substitute rich chords for simple ones; even have older parts follow a new, better chord structure you came up with, thanks to the inspiration the Chord Track can provide.

Drum Notation

New in Studio One 5.2, drum notation can now be created in the Score View. The new drum map interface lets you add both the drum and note name to a corresponding notated pitch. A special preview window lets you drag each intended pitch up or down, plus add a…

Exclusive cutting-edge dithering algorithm

Studio One 5.5 features a new, proprietary, custom-designed dithering algorithm that minimizes conversion artifacts and preserves low-level signals. It sounds so good that we’ve replaced Studio One’s previous dithering algorithm with it, so if you’ve got Dithering turned on (in the Advanced Preferences/Audio menu) you’re already using it!

Dithering exists…

Export multiple formats

The “Export Mixdown” window in Studio One 5.4 now has a list of available audio formats which can be exported in a single pass – without even requiring additional rendering time! Each format offers and remembers its own export settings.

Harmonic Editing

"Harmonic Editing" is the term we use to describe Studio One’s power to edit changes in pitch as easily as it can edit changes in time—both in MIDI data and audio recordings. It opens up the world of harmony and chord structures, not just to composers but to all musicians.

Live Arranging
